I know I promised I’d never cheat on you..

I’m not lying am I? I mean come on, Pownce is one of the most graphically pleasing Web twoPOINToh sites around. It’s more appealing than Twitter fur shizzies. Tell me what you think about my three reasons it’s so beautiful in the comments.

1. A demanding community: The community on pownce wouldn’t put up with a nastily designed site.

2. Young folks: The founders of Pownce are young so they bring an extremely fresh approach to the site and the way it looks.

3. Color: So many sites are made up of simply white and blue *cough* facebook *cough* myspace *cough*. Pownce on the other hand is rather colourful.

Ok..

So when I first joined Pownce way back in July 2007 I tried the desktop app. I hated it.

Today, many moons later, I downloaded it again. I love it. I have a feeling there’s no going back to the website in a lot of cases.

So heres to a big *High Five* for the Pownce team.

The app has really evolved according to me.

Up next for me to test out is Pownce Monkey.

We’ll see how that stands up.

Ok, so I loved the whole “meme” thing at first, but now it’s a little redonkulous. I fell in love with “MVM” A.K.A. “Music Video Monday”. Then I found out about desktop whatever day. Then it just started to become mush to my ears.

I have given up. The whole meme deal has me all shook up. I really want to participate, but it’s just too much of a hassle. I mean I go days without my computer. There’s no way I could possibly keep up. Hey! Maybe that’s something Pownce should think about, timed posts. Great for folks like me who are away from the computer for days at a time.

Well I really want to hear what all you folks have to say. So comment it up!

So my code wrangler buddy, who accepts all the comments, brought to my attention a little glitch with those spiffy YouTube videos on Pownce. So here it is..

Is that to simple? Is it too vague? Yes.

Pownce’s slogan is just like every other social network’s slogan, vague and simple. Just think of MySpace, “A place for friends.”. Now that’s definitely not the whole truth anymore. It’s the same way with Twitter, “What are you doing?”, and now that’s way simple too.

What I’m trying to say is in response to a recent TechCrunch story about Pownce’s upgraded file sharing sizes. Every social network out grows it’s slogan. Do they need a new one? No. Pownce is ever evolving, But any good site is. I love how sites get huge, but the slogan reminds you what it was originally created to be/do.

Pownce has perfect ads. Simply said, they haven’t fallen into that typical “Lets monetize the fucking world” category, and of course there’s truely only one other site that falls into the same position as Pownce, Twitter. So why am I saying this? It’s because I get really tired of the “You’ve won 36,000 iPod Nanos” ads, and the “Shoot the retard and win a laptop!” ads. I mean come on. Aren’t there better ways to make money rather than asking your visitors to shoot things? Well I believe there is, and Pownce is one of few sites taking their ads into their own hands. Plus Pownce doesn’t get me all nauseous with flash ads that flash like women’s breasts at Mardi Gras.

So thanks once again to Pownce for keeping it kick ass..
